Walt Disney Television Program Manager- Executive Incubator Program (Project Hire) in Burbank, California
Do you have a passion for growing talent in media and entertainment? In this role, you will be instrumental in the launch and management of our new Executive Incubator Program – an innovative two-year rotational program in partnership with ABC Entertainment & Freeform that creates a pipeline of next generation network executives. You will partner with leaders across our TV functions to design and implement this premier development opportunity.
Manage every stage of the Executive Incubator Program, including candidate selection, onboarding, rotation transitions, performance evaluations, and end-of-program placement.
Design and facilitate the cohort experience, including creating learning workshops and social activities for program participants.
Match program Creative Associates with buddies, mentors, and sponsors. Partner when needed to help ensure the success of those relationships.
Provide performance feedback and career coaching to Creative Associates throughout their rotations.
Manage critical relationships with rotation leaders, executive sponsors, HR (Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Diversity & Inclusion, Learning & Development) and larger client stakeholders to execute on program objectives, share program updates, and solicit feedback.
Lead the program branding and communication strategy. Design and communicate presentations for stakeholders. Create new program tools/resources.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to execute recruiting strategy for incoming and outgoing rotational employees, including conducting interviews and offers.
Partner with Finance to create and manage program budgets.
Identify metrics for measuring success of the program. Continually track and assess program success and implement changes to improve the experience.
Basic Qualifications :
Knowledgeable about the Entertainment Industry, the TV creative process, and the changing media landscape
Passionate about developing diverse talent, with prior experience developing similar programs and events
Savvy at managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
An experienced project manager. Detailed and solution oriented, able to set and meet tight deadlines
Strategic and innovative; ready to proactively bring new ideas to the table
Capable of using data to tell a story and inform recommendations
Responsible and resourceful when managing program budgets
Comfortable with having difficult conversations, giving and receiving feedback
A relationship builder and connector, able to create community around program participants
Able to handle confidential information with discretion and maturity
Adaptable and at ease with a rapidly-changing environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
A willingness and ability to work in the Greater Los Angeles area
- Familiar with HR practices (recruiting, onboarding, coaching, event planning, compensation & benefits, etc.)
Required Education :
- An undergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience
